Fin de trayecto: vuelta a Alfaz.

Como todo lo bueno, el viaje terminó. Quiero dar las gracias a todas las personas involucradas en esto, en que podamos tener una educación más divertida, en que podamos salir un poco de la monotonía del libro y la libreta, a quienes nos acompañaron en el viaje, a quienes nos guiaron, a la gente del Palacio por aguantarnos, y a la gente de Burgos en general por habernos tratado tan bien. Sinceramente, no nos lo merecíamos con el comportamiento que hubo. Solo espero que haya más proyectos como este, porque a mí sin duda me encantaría participar. Gracias a todos.

All good things have an end, and this trip is not going to be an exception. I want to say thank you to every single person that made this possible, that people who wanted us to have a better education, out of the monotony of the book and notebook. Thank you to everyone who ushered us, to the instructors, to the Palace's people for stand us, and generally Burgos's people for treating us so well. I honestly think that we didn't deserve it. I hope that there's gonna be more trips like this, I'd love to participate. Thank you all, you are amazing.

Día 4 en Burgos: Visita al centro de arqueología experimental.

Al salir del yacimiento, fuimos a este centro a averiguar cómo conseguían cazar y hacer fuego hace 5000 años. La monitora nos dejó participar y pasamos un rato bastante divertido. Yo repetiría

After leaving the deposit, we went to this center to see how they did to hunt or make fire 5000 years ago. The instructor let us participate and we had a good time. I would repeat it.

Día 4 en Burgos: Visita al yacimiento de Atapuerca.

Por la mañana fuimos a ver el yacimiento de Atapuerca, el sitio donde se encontraron evidencias del homo heidelbergensis y una especie no catalogada todavía. En este sitio también se dedujeron estilos de vida de las especies humanas que allí vivían. Fue interesante descubrir todo aquello.

In the morning, we went to Atapuerca's deposit, the place where they found evidence of the existence of the homo heilderbengensis and and specie not listed yet. Also in this site, they deduces the lifestyles of the human species that lived there. It was interesting to discover all that.

Día 3 en Burgos: Monasterios de Suso y Yuso.

Después de comernos los bocadillos que nos garantizó el Palacio, fuimos a San Millán de la Cogolla a visitar los monasterios de Suso y Yuso. En primer lugar fuimos al de Suso (el de arriba). La guía nos explicó que ahí vivió y murió San Millán, un monje ermitaño que dedicó su vida al culto. Después de esta visita, fuimos al monasterio de Yuso (el de abajo). Era muy grande, y ahí se encontró el primer documento en castellano. Tiene mucha historia, grandes libros de canto Gregoriano y unas salas preciosas. Yo lo recomiendo.

After having the sandwiches that the Palace gave to us, we went to San Millán de la Cogolla to visit the monasteries called Suso and Yuso. Firstly, we went to Suso (the above one), where our guide told us that  there lived a man called San Millán, a hermit who dedicated his life to the cult. After visiting Suso, we went to Yuso (the below one). It was so big, and there's where they found the first document witten in Spanish. It has a lot of story, enormous books of Gregorian chant and beautiful rooms. I recommend it.

Día 3 en Burgos: Bodegas de Haro.

El tercer día, fuimos a la Rioja, donde visitamos las bodegas de Haro. Allí nos hicieron una visita guiada y nos enseñaron todo el proceso por el que pasa el vino para adquirir color y sabor, el tiempo que se queda en las barricas, los distintos tipos de vinos, etc. La mayoría compramos una botella, y tengo que decir que a mi padre le encantó.

On the third day, we went to La Rioja, and we visited the cellars of Haro. Our guide explained us all the process the wine gets through to obtain its characteristic colour and flavour, how much time it stays in the barrels, the different types of wines, etc. Most of us bought a bottle, and I have to say that my dad loved that wine.

Día 2 en Burgos: La catedral.

Después de comer y un tiempo de descanso, fuimos a la famosa Catedral de Burgos. De estilo entre renacentista y barroco, la catedral se puede describir como una gran obra de arte. Además de que la guía que tuvimos ayudó bastante en la comprensión de los muchos detalles casi indistinguibles que allí había. Cuadros, retablos, coros, capillas, y hasta tumbas. Entre ellas, las del caballero español más famoso de todos: el Cid campeador.

After having dinner and having some time of rest, we went to the famous Burgos's Cathedral. Between renaissance and Baroque, the cathedral is a big work of art. And our guide helped us a lot to understand the story and almost all the details of this quite beautiful building. Paintings, altarpieces, choirs, chapels and there were even tombs. One of them was the tomb of the most famous spanish knight: El Cid Campeador.

Día 2 en Burgos: Visita y prácticas en la Universidad de Burgos.

El segundo día por la mañana fuimos a la facultad de ciencias de la Universidad de Burgos. Allí hicimos unas prácticas basadas en reacciones químicas. Nos divertimos bastante viendo al profesor hacer las demostraciones, es algo que al menos yo no había visto nunca.

The second day, we went in the morning to the science faculty of the Burgos's University. We did the some practises based on chemical reactions. We had quite fun watching the professor doing demonstrations, it's something I had never saw.
